Miscellaneous Aerials
So why do we have a miscellaneous section ?
In short it's because people use aerials for all kinds of equipment these days, and the point of this page is to let you know we also install most of these types too.
 CB Radio Aerials

 2 Way Radio Aerials
In fact we will install pretty much ANY aerial, whether it's on a ground mount, pole mount, mast or even on a vehicle.
With the above mentioned types of aerial, CB and 2 Way Radio aerials must be calibrated correctly. If they are not set up with the correct SWR readings it may result in your radio equipment burning out components very quickly, and in fact could possibly even explode and catch fire.
Simple receiving is one thing, but to transmit, correct installation is essential.
We can if required install these aerial types and adjust the SWR settings accordingly to obtain safe use and to maximise your signal transmitting strength.
We can also advise on coaxial cable lengths to match the antenna type you decide to use, this too will increase transmitting power and increase receiving quality.
As for the scanner type aerials, it is well known that almost anyone can connect the given parts and connect to a scanning or listening device for whatever their hobby is.
However, if installed correctly, again using matched cable lengths and situating the aerial in a good (high) location you will increase the overall listening quality and gain by as much as 50%. Is that something worth consideration?
Below are a few typical aerial /antenna types used in this arena, though there are literally 100's you can choose from, each with very different performance qualities and expense involved depending on what your intentions and uses are based on. And don't worry if your aerial preference isn't listed here, all you need to do is ask. I'm sure we can advise and if required install your desired equipment to give you the best results possible.

Three brands we would recommend are Thunderpole - Sigma and Sirio, their aerials come in various sizes and with different gain quality's both for use as base station or mobile CB radio.
Before buying a large aerial it may be worth checking that you can legally erect it at your location. Often there are restrictions due to aircraft etc.
